1992 Australian Grand Prix

1-DVD (120 Minutes)

This is the complete race as broadcast on LIVE TV.

The final race of the season, the 1992 Australian Grand Prix was an exciting one. Nigel Mansell, Ayrton
Senna, Michael Schumacher, Gerhard Berger, and Riccardo Patrese battle it out on the streets of
Adelaide. Nigel Mansell (Williams-Renault) was on pole with Ayrton Senna (McClaren-Honda) qualifying
2nd, splitting the Williams Team of Mansell and Patrese on the grid.

The most significant moment was a collision on Lap 19 between Senna and Mansell.
Senna had been chasing Mansell for several laps and the gap remained less than 1 second.
Entering the final corner on Lap 19, Senna crashed into the back of Mansell, eliminating both
drivers.  Patrese took the lead with Berger in hot pursuit, but on Lap 51 Patrese’s Williams
suffered an engine failure and Gerhard Berger took the lead.

Berger remained in the lead as Michael Schumacher (Benetton-Ford) drove an amazing race
to close the gap to just over 2 seconds. On the final straight, Berger inexplicably lifted and
just barely took the win by 0.741 seconds over Schumacher, with Martin Brundle (Benetton-Ford)
taking 3rd place over 50 seconds behind.

Some post-race coverage and interviews are included.
