This is the complete race as broadcast on LIVE TV.

A fantastic race, and a significant one in American Formula 1 history. After 20 years of running a Formula 1
race at the Watkins Glen track in upstate New York, the Watkins Glen organizers were unable to fulfill
their obligations. The race was moved all the way to the other side of the country in Las Vegas Nevada,
and a track was created on the grounds of the spectacular Caesars Palace Hotel.  The temporary course
was well received, and the organizers had taken care to make it wide enough for overtaking, provided
ample run-off areas filled with sand, and laid down a surface that was as smooth as glass. This would also
be the final race of the year, and the World Championship would be decided among three drivers: Carlos
Reutemann, 49 points; Nelson Piquet, 48 points; and Jacques Laffite, 43 points.

TV coverage is excellent, commentators are Murray Walker and James Hunt.
