The complete 1977 French Grand Prix without commentary.
The 1977 French Grand Prix was held at Dijon, which had been revamped since the last time F1 visited the circuit
in 1974. A new extension of the circuit included a run down a hillside with a 500 meter loop to a hairpin and back
again. Mario Andretti took pole position in his Lotus 78 with James Hunt (McLaren) over a half second behind.
Gunnar Nilsson was third on the grid, John Watson fourth.
At the start of the race James Hunt took the lead, followed by John Watson and Jacques Laffite, and Andretti fell
to fourth due to a bad start. On the fifth lap, Watson would take over the lead from Hunt and would remain in front
for nearly the entire race. Little by little, Andretti was closing, and on the final lap made the pass and would take
the win in dramatic fashion. Watson would finish 2nd, James Hunt 3rd, Gunnar Nilsson 4th. and Niki Lauda 5th.
This is another race with NO COMMENTARY, just the sound of Cosworths screaming away.
Decent quality, and a real treat for Formula 1 fans of the 1970’s era.
