Pontiac Promo Films Vol 3 : 1960-1968

1-DVD (98 minutes)

1960 Pontiac Promotional Film – color (5 min)
The luxury and sophistication of a new 1960 Pontiac (in Sierra Copper) is displayed in a dream like
sequence, complete with an elegant female model. This is a color film, and promotes the use of
the General Motors Magic Mirror paint finishes as well as the styling of the new 1960 Pontiac.

1960 Pontiac Technical Highlights Promotional Film – color (10 min)
A cyclist riding a scooter breaks down on the side of the road, and is picked up by a
mysterious man driving a new 1960 Pontiac. The catch? The body of his 1960 Pontiac is
invisible! As they ride along, the driver explains all the features of his new Pontiac, and
of course we have a great view because the body is invisible.

1964 Pontiac Promotional Film – color (19 min)
Excellent film showcasing the new 1964 Pontiacs with all their technical and styling advancements
over the 1963 models. The G.T.O. is not included, but the rest of the Pontiac lineup, including
LeMans and Tempest, are shown in quite a bit of detail, with many close-ups.

1966 Pontiac Promotional Film – color (29 min)
A lengthy color film showcasing all 1966 Pontiac models (including G.T.O.). Each Pontiac model is driven up
to the cameras, then the host describes the features, some options, and some technical advancements.
The car then drives away, and the next Pontiac pulls up. A very brief segment of this film is seen in our
“Pontiac Promo Films Volume 1” DVD, but this is the entire film, and in much better quality!

1966 Pontiac Sales Meeting – John DeLorean Speech – b&w (16 min)
The man himself, John Z. DeLorean, in a speech to several hundred members of the Pontiac Sales Force.
DeLorean describes the success of Pontiac in 1965, then talks about the new 1966 model year, with a
few brief film clips as visuals. DeLorean actually appears a little nervous, but he was addressing a large
auditorium, and speaking into a TV camera. DeLorean was the youngest General Manager to ever lead a
General Motors Division when he took over Pontiac in 1965.

1967 Pontiac Sales Meeting – John DeLorean Speech – b&w (14 min)
Another gem from the vaults, for 1967 Pontiac changed the format of their annual sales meeting to that
of a TV show, and the VIP’s of Pontiac were in attendance. Introduced are Hack Anderson, Jim
McDonald (who would later become Pontiac General Manager), Pontiac Chief Engineer Steve Malone, and
Ernie Jones, head of Pontiac’s Advertising Agency. The big cheese though, is John DeLorean, and his
presence is felt as he walks out to a cheering crowd of salesmen.

1968 Pontiac Promotional Film – color (4 min)
A rare full color promotional film showing various 1968 Pontiacs. A portion of this film is on our
“Pontiac Promotional Films – Volume 1” DVD, but this is the entire film, in excellent quality.
