1960-1969 Formula 1 (Volume 1)

2-DVD’s (216 Minutes)

1960-1969 was a remarkable time period in Formula 1 history. At the beginning of the decade,
front-engined cars dominated, but by the end of the decade, all cars were rear-engined, and
high wings began appearing on the front, back, everywhere, only to be banned by the FIA
because of their frailty. Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, all the legends are seen in
these highlight reels, with an emphasis on the Colin Chapman and his legendary Lotus Team (the
season highlight reels are from The Lotus Story). 1968 was a turning point in Formula 1. The
death of the legendary Jim Clark in a Formula 2 race affected the entire racing world. Also in
1968, the introduction of major sponsorships to the sport now had many cars wearing paint
schemes for their sponsor rather than the traditional colors of their country.
