Pontiac Promo Films and TV Commercials : 1961-1981 (Vol 2)
Another fantastic collection of Pontiac TV commercials and
Promotional Films from the 1961-1981 era!
DVD Length : 139 minutes                         Quality : VG to Excellent
1961 General Motors Motorama  (3 min)
A short clip from a longer 1961 General Motors film, this shows various GM models, but
the highlight is the new 1961 Pontiac and 1961 Tempest. Filmed in glorious Technicolor.

1963 Grand Prix - TV Commercial  (1 min)

1964 Pontiac 35mm Sales Training Filmstrip  (6 min)
An original filmstrip, shown one slide at a time, complete with "beeps" to move to the next frame,
this is an instructional filmstrip from a master Pontiac salesman on how to capture potential
customers, how to treat them, and of course how to wrap up the sale.

1964 Pontiac Sales Training Filmstrip - Styling (23 min)
From the same series as above, this filmstrip is much longer, and informed the Pontiac Sales
Force of the all-new 1964 Pontiac lineup. Includes a brief segment on the new G.T.O.

1964 Pontiac Sales Training Filmstrip - Engineering (26 min)
From the same series, this filmstrip is about Pontiac Engineering,
and again covers all the new Pontiac models for 1964.

1969 GM Safety - TV Commercial (30 sec)

1969 Pontiac Promotional Film - The Great Breakaway  (6 min)
A great promotional film used to show the excitement of the Pontiac lineup, with some
shots of the styling and engineering departments, along with the assembly line.

1971 Grand Prix - TV Commercial  (1 min)

1971 Pontiac - TV Commercial (30 sec)
Shows the GT-37, T-37, and base Firebird.

1973 Firebird Promotional Film (6 min)
A rare promotional film showing the new 1973 Firebird and Trans Am, with a
special segment on the SD-455 engine hosted by a very young Herb Adams.
Quality Note : This film is not in great condition, but very watchable!

1974 G.T.O. Promotional Film (3 min)
A rare promotional film of the new 1974 G.T.O., an often
misunderstood and maligned Goat, but one of my favorites!
Quality Note : This film is not in great condition, but very watchable!

1977 Sunbird - TV Commercial  (30 sec)

1980 Pontiac (Full Line) Promotional Film  (11 min)
Highlights the various features of the new 1980 models. This would be one of the films
shown to a potential customer while waiting in the showroom area of a Pontiac dealer.

1980 Firebird Promotional Film  (11 min)
Pontiac signed up ex-NFL football star Don Meredith, then one of the ABC Monday Night Football
hosts, to do a series of promotional films directed at the Pontiac Sales Force. In this segment,
"Dandy Don" (as Howard Cosell called him) relays the similarities of a winning football team (his
former team, the Dallas Cowboys) to being a successful Pontiac salesman.

1980 Pontiac vs. The Competition Promotional Film  (11 min)
Don Meredith is back, this time comparing Pontiac full-sized models against the competition.

1980 Pontiac LeMans and Grand Prix Promotional Film  (8 min)
Pontiac was getting their money out of Don Meredith, as he's back again,
this time showing the new Grand LeMans and Grand Prix.
