2-DVD's :  243 min.              Quality : VG+ to Excellent
Another 2-DVD set of highlight films from the 1976-1977 era of Formula 1!
1976 U.S. Grand Prix - West - (10 min.)
Condition (Excellent) - Edited live highlights of the U.S. Grand Prix West in Long Beach, California. This
was the third race of the season, and the Ferrari's dominate yet again, this time Clay Regazzoni takes the
win over teammate Niki Lauda, who won the first two races of the year.
1976 Formula 1 Review - (52 min.)
Condition (Excellent) - A fantastic review of the 1976 Formula 1 season, with
plenty of clear footage of the Tyrrell P34 six-wheelers in action, their stunning
1-2 victory at the Swedish Grand Prix, and tremendous footage of James Hunt
and Niki Lauda battling for the championship.
1976 U.S. Grand Prix - East - (13 min.)
Condition (Excellent) - Edited live highlights of the U.S. Grand Prix East at Watkins Glen, NY. The
second to last race of the year, James Hunt gets his 5th win of 1976. Hunt swapped the lead a couple
times with Jody Scheckter in the Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler. On lap 15 there was nasty accident when
Jackie Ickx crashed head-on into a guardrail. The car split in two and caught fire, but Ickx was able to
hobble away with only a broken ankle and a few minor burns.
DISC 1 (1976)
1976 Formula 1 Review # 2 - (51 min.)
Condition (Excellent) - Another review of the 1976 season, this time by MOTORS.
Different footage and different narration than the previous review, but every bit as
entertaining. Very clear footage from the 1976 season!
DISC 2 (1977)
1977 Spanish Grand Prix - (32 min.)
Condition (Very Good +) - Edited live highlights (German commentary) of the Spanish
Grand Prix from Jarama, Spain. A remarkable 31-car field started the race, and Mario
Andretti would take an easy win in his Lotus 78.
1977 British Grand Prix - (32 min.)
Condition (Excellent) - Edited live highlights of the British Grand Prix from Silverstone. This is
an old ESPN Classic re-broadcast (watermark in corner) with Murray Walker commentary.
The wildly popular James Hunt would take the victory in front of his home crowd, with Niki
Lauda (2nd) and Gunnar Nelson (3rd) rounding out the podium.
1977 Austrian Grand Prix - (60 min.)
Condition (Excellent) - Raw video feed (no commentary) of the Austrian Grand Prix, this
is the video that was used for commentary overdub. True F1 fans will appreciate this
footage, as only the sound of screaming Cosworths can be heard throughout the race.
On lap 44, James Hunt blows an engine while leading, handing the win to Alan Jones,
with Niki Lauda finishing 2nd, and Hans-Joachim Stuck takes 3rd.
