|1960-1969 Formula 1 Highlights - Volume 2
|1-DVD : 136 min. Quality : VG+ to Excellent
|Over 2 more hours of highlight films from
the 1960-1969 era of Formula 1!
|1961 Belgian Grand Prix - (9 min) - color
Excellent film of the 1961 Belgian Grand Prix, with Phil Hill taking the
win. This is an old Speedvision broadcast, with a watermark in the
corner. This is the year of the shark-nosed Ferraris.
|1962 French Grand Prix - (26 min) - color
This is a long film, produced by Castrol Motor Oil, and is of excellent
quality. The legendary American driver Dan Gurney takes the win!
|1964 European Grand Prix - (30 min) - color
Another excellent quality film, this one was produced by British Petroleum.
This race was at Brand's Hatch, and was actually the British Grand Prix. Jim
Clark takes the win, with Graham Hill finishing 2nd, and John Surtees 3rd.
|1964 German Grand Prix - (27 min) - b&w
A very unusual film, this one was shot on videotape (not film), airing on German television
with German commentary. This is LIVE coverage that was edited down to 27 minutes back in
1964. Even if you do not speak German, the excitement in the broadcasters voice makes this
a real treat for F1 fans. And of course, we have the legendary Nürburgring track, one of my
all-time favorites. John Surtees takes the win, with Graham Hill finishing 2nd.
|1969 Monaco Grand Prix - (24 min) - color
Graham Hill, master of the Monaco circuit, takes the final win of his
career. This is from an original TV show called Wheelbase, re-broadcast
on ESPN many years ago (watermark in corner).
|1969 Mexican Grand Prix - (18 min) - color
The final race of 1969, Denny Hulme takes the win, with Jackie Ickx
coming in 2nd, and Jack Brabham 3rd. Like the previous highlight reel,
this is from an original TV show called Wheelbase, re-broadcast on
ESPN many years ago (watermark in corner).
