Continuing from the last DVD (1993-1995), we now move into an explosive 2-year period of the Musclecar Wars. Ford's sleek new
225 hp 1994 Mustang arrived to great fanfare, but the Ford engineers were simply caught off guard in the horsepower arena,
startled by GM's move to drop a 275 hp Corvette engine into the new 1993 Camaro Z/28 and Pontiac Trans Am. Ford quickly
recovered, and by 1996 the Mustang SVT Cobra was again on par with the GM F-bodies. Meanwhile, Dodge captivated the
automotive world with the debut of their beautiful new Viper GTS Coupe. Chevrolet ramped up their efforts to claim back the title of
"Fastest American Sports Car" when they debuted an all-new 1997 Corvette. The 1996-1997 years would be a see-saw battle
between these great American 2-seaters. Some of the elite automotive media, typically focused on the best European cars, soon
began to realize that these two American sports cars were among the best performance cars in the world.

Musclecars available in America at that time. You'll see tests of the last of the C4 Corvettes (Corvette Grand Sport), the all new C5
Corvette, the classic Viper GTS Coupe, Pontiac Firebird Firehawk, Mustang Cobra, Chevrolet Z/28 SS, and many others. You'll also
see a fascinating 7-car shootout hosted by Motor Trend, with the best of the best....
This DVD is a collection of some of my favorite road tests from the 1996-1997 era. Each road test is approximately 5-10 minutes
long. Unfortunately, quality varies from test to test, but all are very watchable. Some tests are slightly grainy.
